Lost Angel.

Hilda,Dough and Ellen are finally moving out of London to Surrey.Hilda is hoping for a better life with no heartbreaks. Their new next door neighbor Val welcomes them when they arrive to Surrey. Hilda thinks that Val seems odd and reminded her of the women who had spoken of her vision. Ellen and Percy were picked up by Gertie and Maureen from the station when they got back from their so-called honeymoon. Percy was still mad at his parents for not agreeing on him marrying Ellen, but Hilda kept nagging until he changed his mind.Early in the morning Percy leaves to the nursery.Ellen excited to meet their neighbor takes the tray to give it back to her and goes in for a little chat.Val somehow can tell that Ellen's pregnant even though it barely shows with her baggy clothes.Val then suggested they try a way of knowing the gender of the baby using a pendulum. The pendulum then says that Ellen's having a girl and Val's having a boy. They then talked about Val's mother's healing gift, and told Ellen how she could sense stuff,But when Ellen told her about a women who told her that she'd get a sign that would bring her peace and and asked Val whether she knows anything about it Val got nervous and practically wanted Ellen to leave. Dough suggested they sell annuals and though Gertie didn't think it was a good idea she agreed just to not disappoint him and give him and Ellen something to do.Ellen and Percy loved exploring the area together he was sweet and Ellen liked him but just couldn't think of him as a husband. It was August now and Ellen had stopped working.Percy is wondering if Ellen still thought of him as just a friend and was worried that the child would be a constant reminder of Billy or even worse looking like Billy.Val and Ellen were both nervous now that they're close to going into labor.Val looks terrified so Ellen promises her to be there when she gives birth which makes her less worried. Val happily says how nice it'll be for their children to grow together and play together but then suddenly stops talking and goes pale.Which makes Ellen start wondering Val tries to avoid her claiming that she has dinner to make, but Ellen was sure she was hiding something.
Val pops in while Ellen and Hilda were sitting outside saying that she had a funny feeling that Ellen was going into labor Ellen protest saying that all she has was a back pain but then everything changes and she is suddenly in labor.Ellen gave birth to a girl and named her Sarah. She was worried that he daughter won't get to experience the love of a father, her worries then fade when she saw the look on Percy's face when he saw Sarah, she then knew that he'll love her as though she was his own.Percy suggested they move to a house of their own and she agreed but asked him not to break the news to her parents yet.
Ellen knew this day would soon come but she was still not ready,Billy and Sheila came to visit with Mable and Jack. The room was full of the tension.Ellen worried that Billy would see the resemblance between him and Sarah or work out the dates but was relieved when he suspected nothing.Ellen then discovered the true character of Billy and how he treated Sheila she really hated him and wanted him to leave.Bob abruptly comes in, Val in in labor,Ellen hurries to their house.Ellen pities Val for not having her mom by her side.Val looks petrified. She gave birth to a baby girl and named her Pauline.Ellen was thankful she married Percy seeing how different he was from Billy who was rude and vain, and hoped to be a true wife to him someday.
It was November and every time Percy tried to make love to Ellen she used them not having privacy as an excuse.Hilda ruined Percy's birthday surprise for Ellen and told her that he had bought a cottage for them ,Hilda was shocked that Ellen didn't like it.Ellen then told he mom of her problem,Hilda advised her daughter to be a proper wife to Percy if she wanted him to stay.Ellen afraid of losing her husband knew what she had to do and looked forward to the happy future.
Ellen loved the cottage and was now comfortable being alone with Percy. And again in one of Val's weird visits she announces that she's having another child and tells Ellen about her having a feeling that Ellen's going to have one too but asks Ellen to cherish Sarah for the meantime and then changes the subject which takes Ellen by surprise.Ellen hoped Val was right and wanted to be pregnant soon. She was sure she was in love with Percy now and wanted to make him happy.Val hated the feelings she got right now and wished she were wrong though it was rare.On her way back home, she stopped to buy bread from the village and was told about the gossip in town about Gertie and Maureen. She went back to warn Ellen as one of the Shop owners said that the village people want to kick them out.Ellen lied to protect them then headed to the nursery when Val left to warn them.
